About the Role
As a Patient Registration Rep, you will be responsible for collecting patient demographic and financial information, answering phone calls, assigning patient rooms, preparing documentation, and ensuring patients are escorted to their assigned areas. You will also be required to adhere to safety and health policies, including HIPAA and EMTALA regulations.
About You
Required:
- Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
- Completion of Medical Secretary program or other general office training.
- One year of medical office experience (scheduling, insurance, or registration).
- Strong computer skills, including Windows and database software.
Preferred:
- Hospital experience and/or knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to communicate tactfully and professionally with diverse groups.
