Summary

About the Role
As a Patient Safety Companion, you will be responsible for monitoring patients to ensure their safety through continual surveillance and basic interventions. You will perform basic activities as outlined in the Patient Safety Companion skills checklist and interact courteously with patients, families, and healthcare team members. This position requires a commitment to a minimum of one 8-hour PM shift per week, with some weeknight and weekend availability.
About You
Required:
- High School diploma or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or equivalent experience.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team.
Preferred:
- Nursing students with an interest in the EDTC after graduation.
- Rudimentary assessment and analytical skills for basic patient observations.
