MedStar Health is seeking a Patient Service Coordinator to join their team for the OBGYN department in Washington, DC.
About the Role
As a Patient Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients by greeting them, managing check-in/out processes, gathering demographic information, verifying insurance, collecting copayments, and scheduling appointments. You will serve as the initial contact at the medical practice, manage patient intake, screen for emergent conditions, and support initiatives to improve patient experience.
About You
Required:
- 6 months to 1 year of high-quality customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- High School Diploma.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of IDX/GE centricity business.
