About the Role
As a Patient Service Rep, you will be responsible for processing all activities related to patient services, including handling phone calls, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, maintaining patient charts, and communicating with referral sources. You will also manage high-volume patient scheduling, collect payments, balance nightly reports, and participate in educational activities.
About You
Required:
- High School graduation or equivalent.
- Three years of experience in a related position or equivalent education/experience.
- Knowledge of insurance and the verification process.
- Ability to operate a computer, scanner, fax/copy, and basic office equipment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with business office procedures.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
