About the Role
As a Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of employee, patient, and hospital information. You will assist in cross-training for admitting and emergency room tasks as needed, assign diagnosis codes based on physician orders, and review and update assigned reports in a timely manner.
About You
Required:
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Must be able to type 45-50 wpm and use various office equipment such as CRT, phones, copier, fax machine, and printer.
Preferred:
- Medical terminology knowledge.
- Basic understanding of UB92's and the importance of the hospital billing/collections process.
- 1+ year of patient account experience.
