About the Role

As a Patient Service Specialist, you will be responsible for gathering and processing information for billing, coordinating care, and maintaining confidentiality of patient records. You will support the entire Medical Group and may cover at other practices as needed, while contributing positively to the office environment and suggesting improvements to internal processes.

About You

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous exposure to Microsoft Windows such as Outlook and Word.
Keyboarding skills in excess of 50 WPM.
Ability to operate standard office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and scanners.
Competent writing and editing skills, including sound grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Basic competency in mathematics.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with frequent interruptions.
Customer service orientation and effective communication skills.

Preferred:

College coursework in business or medical sciences.
2-4 years in a similar office administrative position.
Previous medical office experience or completion of a medical terminology course.
Demonstrated experience in effective customer service.
