As a Patient Services Representative, you will be responsible for welcoming and registering patients, verifying insurance coverage, scheduling appointments, and managing electronic health records. You will also handle payment processing and respond to inquiries from patients and staff, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and safety policies.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in a medical office, insurance, call center or client services environment.
- Experience with scheduling appointments.
- Proficient in computers using MS Office applications and EHR (preferably Epic).
- Strong verbal/written communication and listening skills.
Preferred:
- Ability to collaborate across departments and build effective relationships.
- Possession of strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and accept direction on assignments.
