About the Role
As a Patient Support Technician, you will collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver patient care that respects individual rights and needs. Your responsibilities will include performing basic bedside care, managing patient records, assisting with daily living activities, and communicating effectively within the unit. You will also engage in patient education and participate in unit governance to enhance patient care experiences.
About You
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited high school or GED program or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of direct patient care experience within the past 5 years or completion of a Medical/Surgical clinical rotation in a nursing educational program.
Preferred:
- Completion of a Patient Care Technician program with an externship in an acute care facility.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
