Huerfano County Government is seeking a Patrol Deputy to join their team in Colorado, United States. The role involves patrolling county areas, enforcing the law, and protecting life and property.
About the Role
As a Patrol Deputy, you will be responsible for patrolling county roads and residential areas, responding to calls for assistance, enforcing laws, securing crime scenes, and maintaining courtroom security. You will also conduct investigations, prepare reports, and assist in search and rescue operations. The position requires shift work, including weekends and holidays.
About You
Required:
Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Must possess a valid State Drivers License.
Must possess State Peace Officer Certificate.
Have current First Aid and CPR certification.
Preferred:
Knowledge of Local, State, and Federal laws and County ordinances.
Experience in law enforcement techniques and procedures.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing.
