Kimley-Horn is seeking a Payroll Accountant to join their team in Raleigh, NC. The role involves managing all aspects of multi-state and international payroll processing with precision, compliance, and confidentiality.
About the Role
As a Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for processing semi-monthly multi-state and Canadian payroll, maintaining payroll data integrity, creating and analyzing payroll reports, managing payroll tax filings, preparing audit workpapers, and collaborating with HR & Benefits teams. You will also support management with payroll analysis and reporting to inform business decisions.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Accountant or in a similar payroll/accounting role.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws.
Preferred:
- International and Canadian payroll experience.
- Experience with payroll systems such as UKG Pro and Business Intelligence reporting tools.
- Familiarity with multi-state tax regulations and payroll deductions.
