About the Role
As a Payroll Specialist, you will assist in processing payroll, reviewing and auditing timecards, managing employee attendance tracking, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations. You will also set up new hires in payroll systems, process timesheet corrections, and maintain payroll records. This position is critical for the day-to-day payroll operations and requires a detail-oriented approach.
About You
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience handling payroll for at least 250+ employees independently.
- Experience working in environments with multiple shifts.
- Proficiency in payroll systems (Paycor preferred; ADP, Paycom, or similar systems acceptable).
- Strong Excel and data entry skills.
- Solid understanding of payroll compliance and accounting principles.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet strict deadlines.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
Preferred:
- Early-to-mid career payroll professional.
- Tech-savvy and resourceful; attempts to problem-solve before escalating.
- Strong listener who learns internal processes before suggesting changes.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
- Reasonable commute to Fairfield, OH.
