Jobot is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team in Fresno, CA. The role involves managing all aspects of payroll processing for a diverse client base in a food processing and manufacturing organization.
About the Role
As a Payroll Specialist, you will oversee payroll processing for both union and non-union employees, ensuring accurate and timely updates, compliance with payroll laws, and maintaining records. You will work closely with HR and accounting teams, facilitate audits, and participate in special projects as required.
About You
Required:
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in payroll or a related field.
- Proficient with Paychex and other payroll systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal payroll and tax regulations.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
- Experience in managing and completing projects.
