About the Role
As a Payroll Tax Analyst and Garnishment Specialist, you will manage multi-state payroll tax setup and compliance, maintain unemployment rate data, oversee tax reconciliations and filings, and process court-ordered deductions. You will work closely with legal, HR, and payroll teams to ensure compliance and handle complex cases.
About You
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in payroll tax administration and/or garnishment processing within a multi-state environment.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and wage garnishment regulations.
- Experience reconciling quarterly and annual tax filings (e.g., Forms 941, W-2, SUI filings).
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now or a similar enterprise payroll system, including tax and garnishment modules.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret court orders and agency notices accurately.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
Preferred:
- Experience in a professional services, multi-entity, or large-scale payroll environment.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data validation).
- Familiarity with agency portals and tax research resources.
