About the Role
As a Pediatric Urgent Care Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for greeting and registering patients, obtaining medical histories and vital signs, preparing patients for X-rays, performing routine lab tests, assisting with patient care, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. You will work under the direct supervision of a physician and be part of a patient care team, ensuring high-quality service and patient confidentiality.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant
- Strong communications and organizational skills
- Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab and venipuncture
Preferred:
- Knowledge of EKG placement and processing in children
- Prior pediatric experience
- Experience with medical records
- Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
