About the Role
As a Peer Recovery Supporter, you will provide individualized, recovery-focused services to clients with mental illness or substance use disorders. Your responsibilities will include educating clients on addiction recovery, connecting them to community resources, assisting in crisis interventions, and promoting self-advocacy and life skills development. You will also maintain documentation and collaborate with other professionals to support clients' recovery goals.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must satisfy relevant state requirements for Certified Peer Recovery Supporter.
- Knowledge of human behavior and performance, and the assessment and treatment of behavioral disorders.
- Computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Work and/or volunteer experience as a Recovery Coach.
- Knowledge of court and county resources.
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
