WellLife Network is seeking a Peer Specialist to join their team in Elmont, NY. The role involves serving as a role model and educator for individuals with lived experience, helping them develop coping strategies and community support systems.
About the Role
As a Peer Specialist, you will participate in training and support activities, teach skills to individuals and groups, advocate for recipients, assist consumers in identifying community supports, and document progress notes. You will also coordinate case management services and provide crisis intervention and mental health support when needed.
About You
Required:
New York State Peer Specialist Certification, or willing to complete the certification within one year of employment.
Preferred:
High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
