About the Role
As a Peer Support Specialist, you will engage, inspire, and facilitate meaningful conversations with members served, helping them explore and meet their recovery goals. You will provide consultation to promote Telecare's Recovery Culture and respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills. This position requires full-time availability with shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Peer Certification must be maintained throughout employment
- California: obtain Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA prior to date of hire and maintained throughout employment
- Experience as a beneficiary of the Behavioral Health system of care
- Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver
- Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups
