About the Role
As a Peer Support Specialist I, you will engage individuals in a recovery partnership, assist in identifying their hopes and dreams, and teach recovery and life skills. You will model hope and personal responsibility, assist in developing natural supports, and complete necessary clinical documentation. Collaboration with clinical teams to arrange services and resources is also a key responsibility.
About You
Required:
- Successful completion of Peer Employment Training and certification as a Peer Support Specialist.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Lived experience requiring mental health and/or substance use services.
- Basic computer skills.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferred:
- Ability to teach/train recovery information and recovery tools.
- Experience in a behavioral health setting.
