Summary
RI International is seeking a Peer Support Specialist I to join their team in Wilmington, DE. The role involves providing support and recovery training to individuals receiving services and advocating for their needs.
About the Role
As a Peer Support Specialist I, you will engage individuals in a recovery partnership, teach recovery and life skills, model hope and personal responsibility, assist in developing natural supports, and coordinate with clinical teams to help individuals achieve their goals. You will also complete clinical documentation and adhere to compliance standards.
About You
Required:
- Successful completion of Peer Employment Training and obtaining Certification as a Peer Support Specialist.
- Basic computer skills.
- Lived experience requiring mental health and/or substance use services.
- Ability to teach/train recovery information and recovery tools.
- Effective communication skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.
- Experience in a behavioral health setting.
