UCI Health is seeking a Per Diem Anesthesia Technician to join their team in Orange, CA. The role involves assisting anesthesiologists with patient monitoring and intubation procedures, as well as maintaining anesthesia supplies and equipment.
About the Role
As a Per Diem Anesthesia Technician, you will assist anesthesiologists with the placement of patient monitoring lines and difficult intubations. You will be responsible for maintaining, ordering, and stocking anesthesia supplies and equipment, providing first line equipment maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting. You will work closely with Anesthesia, the OR Manager, and Biomedical engineering to ensure that all equipment and supplies are well maintained and clean.
About You
Required:
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or a fast-paced OR environment.
- Basic mathematical skills to quickly and accurately add, subtract, divide, and multiply whole numbers and decimals.
- Availability to rotate shifts, take call, and work weekends.
- Ability to speak, read, and follow directions in English.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of medical computer software systems.
- Certified Anesthesia Tech.
