About the Role
As a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician II, you will assist the pharmacist in preparing prescriptions, maintain good customer service by processing sales and answering questions, and handle various duties including stocking OTC items and processing medication requisitions. You will work in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program.
- TSBP Registration.
- 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience.
- Ability to read merchandise labels and invoices, and communicate effectively with customers.
- Ability to operate a computer terminal for processing prescriptions.
- Math skills for cash handling and daily cash reports.
- Ability to type 20 WPM.
- Stress tolerance to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to maneuver around the pharmacy.
- Driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Preferred:
- PTCB Certification.
- HMO and 3rd party managed care experience.
- Ability to know when to refer questions to a pharmacist.
- 10 key by touch.
