Summary
PrairieCare is seeking a PER_DIEM Psychiatric/Mental Health RN to join their team in Brooklyn Park, MN. The role involves providing exceptional care for adolescent and young adult patients facing psychiatric and mental health challenges.
About the Role
As a Psychiatric/Mental Health RN, you will conduct assessments, monitor daily functioning, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, create a nurturing therapeutic environment, engage patients in nursing groups, administer medications, and provide compassionate care while managing crisis situations.
About You
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Nursing Degree; BSN preferred.
- Current RN licensure with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing.
- At least 1 year of psychiatric/mental health nursing experience within the past two years.
Preferred:
- Professional certifications such as RN ANCC Certification in Mental Health Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, or Holistic Health.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to multitask efficiently.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
