Intrinsic is seeking a Performance Application Engineer, Intelligent Factory to join their team in Mountain View, CA. The role focuses on optimizing automation solutions and ensuring system performance through rigorous testing.
About the Role
As a Performance Application Engineer, you will own the process performance and optimization of automation solutions. Your responsibilities include leading Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and human-in-the-loop (HITL) testing to ensure systems meet cycle time and reliability standards. You will define strategies for testing and actively oversee tests to validate system performance prior to deployment.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical background in Robotics Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Foundational understanding of industrial automation with a strong desire to learn and contribute to their application in manufacturing environments.
- Programming proficiency with C++ and/or Python.
- Experience with data visualization tools or performance monitoring dashboards.
Preferred:
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
- Familiarity with simulation-to-reality (Sim2Real) gap analysis.
- Experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, gRPC, Protobuf, Bazel, microservice architectures, and/or real-time systems.
