About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for performing basic mathematical calculations, preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining inventories, and operating various types of pharmacy automation. You will also be required to lift and move heavy items, stand or sit for long periods, and understand safety precautions when handling hazardous materials.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- 6 months of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting or graduation from an Academic Technician Training Educational Program.
Preferred:
- Current valid certification by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).
- Certification is highly encouraged as several processes and certain equipment will require certified technicians.
