About the Role
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will be responsible for technical tasks similar to those performed by Unit Dose Technicians and IV Admixture Technicians. Your duties will include physician order screening, computer order entry, and completing complex tasks in the IV Room. You will also assist with patient teaching, drug information searches, and drug use evaluations while ensuring compliance with pharmacy standards.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED and enrollment in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Pharmacy Intern license in good standing with the State of Michigan.
- Familiarity with computers and pharmaceutical math skills.
Preferred:
- Strong communication skills for interacting with co-workers, nurses, and physicians.
- Experience in a pharmacy setting or related healthcare environment.
