About the Role
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will perform a variety of technical, clinical, and support tasks designed to assist pharmacists. Responsibilities include reviewing medication orders, operating automated dispensing cabinets, performing sterile and non-sterile compounding, managing controlled substances, delivering medications, and participating in quality improvement activities. You will also assist in training pharmacy technicians and interns and document medication histories in the electronic medical record.
About You
Required:
- Current enrollment in at least the first year at an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Maintains current unrestricted licensure as a pharmacy intern in the State of Rhode Island.
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy applications.
- Strong customer service presence and verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
