About the Role
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will perform various functions including preparing and dispensing medications for patients across different age groups (Neonate, Pediatric, Adult, Geriatric) in compliance with departmental policies and state and federal regulations. You will work under the direction of a registered pharmacist and gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
About You
Required:
- Matriculated pharmacy student in an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy or has been awarded a degree in pharmacy (BS or Pharm.D.) from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
- Possession of a valid NYS Pharmacy Intern permit within 90 days of the date of hire.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and independent judgment and decision making.
Preferred:
- Hospital experience.
