About the Role
As a Phlebotomist Laboratory Assistant, you will be trained to draw blood for diagnostic testing from patients of all ages and process various clinical specimens. Your responsibilities will include accurately identifying patients, performing venipuncture and micro techniques, maintaining specimen integrity, and ensuring compliance with safety and HIPAA regulations. You will also assist with inventory management and provide excellent patient care.
About You
Required:
- H.S. Diploma/GED.
- Phlebotomy training and experience in an outpatient or hospital setting.
- Prior experience in hospital laboratory receiving area.
- Prior experience with the Laboratory Information System.
Preferred:
- Experience with pediatric phlebotomy techniques.
- Knowledge of infection control policies.
