About the Role
As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for interviewing patients to obtain necessary demographic and insurance information, securing required signatures and consent forms, and performing basic computer functions including entry of patient demographics and order entry of tests requested. You will work in a laboratory/draw station setting and may be exposed to communicable diseases and other conditions common to a healthcare environment.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma.
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid New York State Driver’s License.
Preferred:
- 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and/or science courses.
- Excellent customer service skills and strong communication skills.
