Florida Orthopaedic Institute is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their team in St. Petersburg, FL. The role involves providing outpatient therapy, sports medicine, and physical rehabilitation under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
About the Role
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will be responsible for delivering individualized patient treatments, documenting visits, instructing patients in exercise programs, guiding them through mobility exercises, and communicating patient status changes to the supervising Physical Therapist. You will also serve as a clinical instructor for PTA students and support clinic operations.
About You
Required:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Active Florida PTA license.
Current CPR certification.
Compassionate, patient-focused, and motivated to help people achieve their rehab goals.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred:
Outpatient orthopaedic or sports medicine therapy experience.
Familiarity with WebPT or other EMR systems.
