As a Physician Office Laboratory Assistant, you will assess the urgency of tests, prepare specimens for testing, verify patient identification, maintain laboratory equipment, calculate and report test results, and participate in quality assessment activities. You will work in a fast-paced environment interacting with healthcare professionals and handling biohazardous materials.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED with experience performing moderately complex laboratory testing.
- Experience in performing complete blood counts.
Preferred:
- Clinical training in phlebotomy, medical office assisting, nursing, or radiology.
