Summary
RRD is seeking a Picker/Packer2 to join their team in Buffalo Grove, IL. The role involves assisting with filling and packaging orders from the warehouse in preparation for shipment.
About the Role
As a Picker/Packer2, you will be responsible for picking or packaging a variety of printed materials using various packing procedures. Your daily tasks will include following detailed procedures for routine packing work, operating warehouse management software, ensuring accurate shipping information, and maintaining productivity and quality standards. You will also assist in training and continuous improvement efforts, handle materials, and maintain the security and safety of the warehouse.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1+ year of relevant working experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required.
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications and identify correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.
- Very good oral and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures and general warehouse procedures.
Preferred:
- Skill in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
- Basic skill in the use of material handling tools such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Basic arithmetic skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
