About the Role
As a Pipe Welder, you will be responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Your daily tasks will include cutting, threading, and hammering pipes to specifications, welding and securing pipes, inspecting and testing installed systems, and preparing cost estimates for clients. You will work outdoors and may be exposed to fumes, chemicals, and dust.
About You
Required:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
- Six months to one year of related experience, preferably five years of experience with pipe fitting.
Preferred:
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and safety awareness.

The shipyard also has a 1,200 Ton Dry Dock, a 425' X 75' fabrication shop, as well as a complete carpentry, electrical and machine shop. St. Johns' facility is located on 98 acres along the St. Johns River in Palatka, Florida (approximately 68 miles southwest of Jacksonville, FL)
