Summary
RISE Robotics is seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to join their team in Somerville, MA. The role involves developing and enhancing software for robotic lifting solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
About the Role
As a Principal Embedded Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain embedded software for robotic lift systems, collaborate with hardware engineers for system integration, create and optimize control algorithms, and conduct thorough testing and debugging of software. You will also maintain comprehensive documentation and work closely with various engineering teams to achieve project goals.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of electromechanical product software development in C, C++, and Python.
- Experience with controls, brushless DC motors, and motion control systems.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and produce robust software modules.
- Familiarity with common embedded communications interfaces: CAN, SPI, I2C, UART.
- Ability to read and understand complex technical literature such as datasheets and schematics.
