Sazerac Company is seeking a Planning Manager (Manufacturing / Production) to join their team in Carrollton, TX. The role involves leading production planning, scheduling, and customer service operations in a manufacturing environment.
About the Role
As a Planning Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring production schedules, inventory strategies, and supply chain activities align with customer demand while optimizing efficiency and controlling costs. You will lead production planning and scheduling, develop master production schedules, partner with procurement and operations teams, manage ERP planning systems, analyze production data, and drive continuous improvement across the planning function.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in production planning, supply chain planning, or manufacturing operations.
- Minimum 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong experience with manufacturing systems such as ERP, MRP, MPS, or WMS (NetSuite experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to lead planning functions in a complex manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and leadership levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make strategic decisions in a fast-paced production environment.
Preferred:
- Experience in alcohol beverage, food manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries.
- APICS certification, Six Sigma certification, or similar supply chain certification.
- Master’s degree or MBA.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations including FDA and U.S. Customs requirements.
- Experience supporting co-manufacturing operations or multi-site production planning.
