Mohave County is seeking a Planning Manager to join their Planning and Zoning Division in Kingman, AZ. The role involves supervising and coordinating planning activities that benefit the county and its residents.
About the Role
As a Planning Manager, you will oversee the Planning Section of the Planning and Zoning Division, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and facilitating land development. Your responsibilities will include supervising staff, coordinating with other departments, preparing policies and procedures, reviewing development proposals, conducting public meetings, and maintaining planning records. You will also interact with the public and present before the Planning and Zoning Commission.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in urban or regional planning or related field.
Three years of progressively responsible professional planning experience.
At least one year of supervisory experience.
Preferred:
Master’s Degree in urban or regional planning or related field.
Knowledge of community planning and zoning principles and practices.
Experience with land use regulations and zoning codes.
Benefits
Starting salary of $34.37 per hour.
Monday through Friday work schedule with the possibility of a 4-10 schedule.
No weekends or holidays.
