About the Role
As a Plastic Injection Molding Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating with production, tooling, and engineering teams to troubleshoot molding issues, validate new molds, improve cycle times, and support the launch of new products. Your daily tasks will include leading process setups, mold trials, and validations, as well as providing training and technical guidance to the production team.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in plastic injection molding process engineering or a closely related role.
- Solid understanding of thermoplastics, mold design, and injection molding machinery.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to interpret 2D/3D drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience with a mold flow analysis software.
- Ability to work on-site in Portland, Tennessee.
Preferred:
- Experience with scientific molding principles (RJG, Decoupled Molding) is a plus.
