Summary
Armada is seeking a Platform/DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes-Linux-Azure Local) to join their Edge team in Bellevue, WA. The role focuses on the deployment, automation, and operation of hybrid Azure Local and Kubernetes-based deployments on bare-metal infrastructure.
About the Role
As a Platform/DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying and managing Azure Local environments, configuring and managing Kubernetes clusters, administering health and performance monitoring, implementing networking and storage solutions, utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code tools, developing automation scripts, and ensuring security and reliability across the distributed computing platform.
About You
Required:
- 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience administering production Kubernetes clusters.
- At least 1 year of experience with Azure services or equivalent cloud providers.
- Strong proficiency in Linux administration and system troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and Load Balancing.
- Practical experience with Terraform, Ansible, and scripting in Python or Bash.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) on Azure Local/Azure Stack HCI.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd.
- Kubernetes certifications such as CKA or CKAD.
