City of East Point is seeking a Police Officer (Continuous Recruitment) to perform a full range of law enforcement duties in East Point, GA.
About the Role
As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting life and property, and engaging in community policing and crime prevention. Your duties will include patrolling assigned areas, responding to dispatched calls, conducting investigations, preparing reports, and participating in community activities. You may also be assigned to specialty areas within the department based on needs.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Meet POST requirements for PEACE Officer Certification and/or academy pursuant to GA law.
- Successful completion of Police Academy.
Preferred:
- Graduation from a two-year college with coursework in political science, criminology, criminal justice or related field.
- Two (2) years of Police Officer experience.
- Must be a Certified Peace Officer under regulations of Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (P.O.S.T).
