About the Role
As a Polysomnography Technologist, you will work under the supervision of the clinical director to gather and analyze patient information, prepare and calibrate testing equipment, perform polysomnographic procedures, and score sleep/wake stages. You will also be responsible for ensuring patient safety and comfort during testing, maintaining equipment, and complying with safety regulations.
About You
Required:
- Successful completion of an approved associate or higher degree program in Polysomnographic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing.
- Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) within 1.5 years of acceptance of position.
- Current BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
Preferred:
- NYS Respiratory Therapist or Technician License or NYS Polysomnographic License.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
