About the Role
About You
- PhD at time of appointment in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Drug Delivery, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Analytical/Organic Chemistry, or a similar field.
- Experience with basic laboratory skills and various physico-chemical characterization techniques for films and/or interfaces.
- Motivated with good problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and implement new techniques/skills.
- Expertise in polymer chemistry and/or physics.
- Experience with analysis of polymer interfacial phenomena over multiple length, temperature, and time-scales.
- Experience with experimental techniques, design of experiments, and statistical analysis.
- Experience with digital modeling or other digital data-processing skills.
- Understanding of attributes that influence tribology phenomena.
- Understanding of ways to measure tribology of surfaces.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for timely documentation, presentation, and manuscript preparation in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary, team-based environment.
