Inside Higher Ed is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the Wu Lab at the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering, University of North Carolina Greensboro. The role involves conducting interdisciplinary research in nanomedicine, synthetic biology, and biomedical engineering.
About the Role
As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will design, perform, and analyze experiments related to complex biological processes, contribute to scientific writing, mentor students, and collaborate with lab members and external partners. You will also help maintain an organized and inclusive laboratory environment.
About You
Required:
- Ph.D. in Biology, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Immunology, Molecular/Cell Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experimental skills in biological, biomedical, or bioengineering research.
- Demonstrated ability to design experiments, analyze data, and troubleshoot independently.
- Record of scientific productivity, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications.
- Experience in mouse models and animal studies.
- Commitment to mentoring and working effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred:
- Experience in bioinformatics and microphysiological systems.
Benefits
- Competitive salary range of $56,650 - $60,000.
