About the Role
As a Pre/Post Op RN, you will manage patients' admission processes, assess their health status, ensure operative consents are in order, and take vital statistics. Post-operatively, you will assess patients' conditions, log findings, develop care plans, monitor for condition changes, and ensure patient comfort and education.
About You
Required:
- Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state of Michigan.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Must have at least 2-5 years of experience in PreOp/PACU, Med Surg or Critical Care.
- Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient.
