About the Role
As a Preconstruction Manager, you will review proposals and design documents, attend development meetings, and conduct site visits to define project scope and cost impacts. You will mentor a team while preparing estimates, developing work breakdown structures, and collaborating with design teams to ensure quality input for construction estimates. Your role will also involve analyzing historical data and creating reports and presentations.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or similar, with significant experience.
- Extensive background with water and wastewater construction including field experience.
- Proficient skills in current technology (communications, estimating, scheduling, and database software).
- Demonstrated understanding of estimating organizational structure and processes.
- Experience using industry estimating software, such as Timberline and HCSS Heavy Bid.
- Understanding of project scheduling; ability to use Primavera P6 and/or Smartsheet.
Preferred:
- Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
- Adept at interpersonal relationship building and conflict resolution.
- Experience mentoring junior staff.
