About the Role
As a Predator/Prey Fish Field Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and sampling non-native fish, conducting creel surveys, tagging and tracking fish, and performing digestion studies. You will work in various field settings, often in challenging conditions, and interact with anglers and the public to collect data.
About You
Required:
- Graduation from high school or GED, including one (1) year of high school science AND two (2) years of experience as a Scientific Technician 1.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred:
- One (1) year of experience conducting field sampling on the Columbia River.
- Experience identifying freshwater and anadromous fish species of the Columbia River.
- Experience entering and managing data in Excel and/or Access databases.
- Experience operating outboard boats or small watercraft on large rivers with currents.
