Summary
Cadence is seeking a Principal EDA Software Engineer (C++, Characterization) to join their R&D team in San Jose, CA. The role involves creating technologies for static and dynamic transistor level analysis of advanced custom digital and mixed-signal circuits.
About the Role
As a Principal EDA Software Engineer, you will be responsible for enhancing and expanding existing tools' architecture, creating new frameworks for analysis, and utilizing machine learning technology to improve speed, capacity, and usability of solutions. You will work on transistor level timing, power, noise, aging, reliability, and emir analysis.
About You
Required:
- 8+ years of experience in development of EDA tools and transistor level analysis.
- Strong knowledge of C++ and Linux.
- Proficiency in designing data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Experience developing and maintaining C++ applications in a Unix or Linux environment.
Preferred:
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Experience in circuit simulation or library characterization programs.
- Understanding of SPICE simulation transistor models.
- Experience with distributed programming, database design, and cloud APIs.
