Summary
Red 6 is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their team in Denver, CO. The role involves designing and developing next-generation augmented reality systems for aerospace environments.
About the Role
As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of complex electrical designs, including requirement derivation, circuit architecture, detailed design, integration, and qualification testing. You will ensure compliance with aerospace standards and contribute to high-performance AR systems. This role includes technical leadership and mentorship of junior engineers, as well as collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize engineering processes.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design for complex hardware systems.
- Strong expertise in high-speed digital design, mixed-signal circuit design, FPGAs, SoCs, and embedded systems.
- Proven experience designing to MIL-STD-704 and understanding of related standards.
- Hands-on experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium preferred).
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with FPGA development concepts, including RTL design and verification.
- Experience working with PCB fabrication houses and contract manufacturers.
- Exposure to thermal and structural considerations for airborne electronics.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and evolving high-integrity engineering processes.
