Medtronic is seeking a Principal Field Clinical Engineer for the North East region. The role involves leading clinical studies and serving as a technical resource between engineering, clinical research, and the medical community in the Cardiac Ablation Solutions business.
About the Role
As a Principal Field Clinical Engineer, you will be responsible for the introduction, implementation, and follow-up of clinical studies, supporting research and development, and providing technical assistance to clinical study sites. You will guide physicians during ablation procedures, ensure high-quality data collection, and maintain relationships with clinical sites to drive clinical activity.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in clinical research, clinical specialist/field clinical engineer, or clinical sales representative.
- Or a Master's degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Or a PhD with 3 years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
- Experience at Medtronic or within the medical device industry.
- Experience in the management of clinical devices.
- Electrophysiology and cardiac ablation device training.
- Experience in a Cath lab, biomedical engineering, or medical sales.
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance guidelines.
