HDR is seeking a Principal Health Planner to join their team in Atlanta, GA. The role involves leading project teams in the planning and design of health and research facilities, focusing on both functional and aesthetic aspects.
About the Role
As a Principal Health Planner, you will be responsible for project team leadership in the pursuit and delivery of health projects. This includes facility and departmental planning, understanding healthcare delivery trends, and developing architectural solutions based on client needs. You will initiate schematic designs, prepare presentation materials, coordinate with various disciplines, and participate in business development activities.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture
- 15 years related experience
- A minimum of 7 years project management experience
- Registered Architect
- Experience on large-scale projects
- Ability to lead a team and make client presentations
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
- Extensive knowledge of the local and regional market
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
- Willingness to travel
- Commitment to an employee-owned culture
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Architecture
- 20 years' experience in health architecture and planning
- Extensive knowledge of health architecture planning and design
- Understanding of health facility operations and life safety codes
- Advanced credentials such as ACHA, EDAC, LEED, Lean Six Sigma
- Strong computer skills (AutoCAD, REVIT, Rhino, Blue Beam)
