HDR is seeking a Principal Health Planner to join their team in Salt Lake City, UT. The role involves leading project teams in the planning and design of health and research facilities.
About the Role
As a Principal Health Planner, you will be responsible for project team leadership in the pursuit and delivery of health projects, focusing on facility and departmental planning. You will analyze client needs, develop architectural solutions, initiate schematic designs, and coordinate all disciplines related to building design and healthcare planning. Additionally, you will represent the firm in business development presentations and guide other designers throughout the design phases.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture
- 15 years related experience
- A minimum of 7 years project management experience
- Registered Architect
- Experience on large-scale projects
- Ability to lead a team and make client presentations
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
- Extensive knowledge of the local and regional market
- Strong team leadership and communication skills
- Willingness to travel
- Commitment to being an active participant in the employee-owned culture
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Architecture
- 20 years' experience in health architecture and planning
- Extensive knowledge of health architecture planning and design
- Understanding of health facility operations and life safety codes
- Advanced credentials such as ACHA, EDAC, LEED, Lean Six Sigma
- Strong computer skills (AutoCAD, REVIT, Rhino, Blue Beam)
